Is he really good enough for be making this list? Don’t know much about him but the guy does only average 39
At a time when most others averaged sub 30, only Clem Hill is comparable with him from that era. You can't really assign everything to just stats, especially pre WWI. His peer ratings was on par with basically anyone to ever play. Trumper getting ranked any lower is a travesty imo.

I am furious that Williamson has been ranked over AB de Villiers. How can that be justified?
One bats 3 behind iffy openers
and averages 55 with THIRTY TWO 100s in 100 tests and carries his team while the other sat behind G Smith, Amla, and Kallis, (all of whom did more heavy lifting) and averaged over 4 runs less, and scored TWENTY TWO hundreds in 114 tests.

There are several extra openers plus quite a few mobs ahead of ABDV.

I am struggling to hold the fact that Williamson averages 55 in my head. Smith is averaging 57 currently. There's barely anything between those 2 averages.

Out of his 100 tests, he's played exactly 50 tests vs Aus, Ind, Eng and SA (top 4 teams)

But he averages just 38.91 from 50 tests against these top teams.

Only 11 of his 32 hundreds have come in these 50 tests.
