Still overall tougher though.
Yeah, and I don't think anyone is saying otherwise tbf. It's more subtle than that, which is why a number of folks with rocks in their heads are having trouble coming to terms with it.

No. His style of bowling was more suited to SC rather than Eng or NZ. That’s why context is important. Just because someone succeeds in conditions perceived as tough and fail in the easier doesn’t mean they are better than opposite.
We should demerit them for their away fails and merit them for home success. At present it seems we only do that former.

We do get it which is why we don't say those bowlers in SC are automatically better. But the gist we are getting from your side is that it all equalises out in the end and we don't agree with that.

It's not a question mark, it's a product of what worked for him as he developed as a cricketer. If he'd had the misfortune to be born in Pakistan, he'd have come up on pitches which required him to swing it around. He's a world class sportsman, Do you think he'd have just plodded along doing what didn't work in his own conditions? Come on. It's ridiculous.
Bradman didn't hit a lot of 6s, it is a real question mark . . . yeah it's very poor logic

Well that's because you lack basic comprehension skills. That's not my fault.

Is Kallis a significantly better batsman than Lara then according to you since surface level average is all that matters.
??? Where did I say that? And Lara and Kallis aren't particularly from the same era. They overlapped but Lara had to deal with much better bowling earlier in his career and Lara also very rarely faced any attacks as dire as Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and WI post 2000.

Dev overlapped significantly with someone like Hadlee so a direct comparison is more apt. But I won't say more about Dev unless asked, because as stated before, I hardly followed his career.
