Sydney's not the biggest ground. And if he goes for it properly it travels much faster and is harder to get to and catch as well. Surprised he played it like that after the one he'd played near the start of his innings, where he really went for it.

i think its a combination of that, plus this wicket is quite flat and nice to bat on

Lyon bowled fine against BazBall until he got injured. But he did struggle against Pant and seems to have issues when not fully in form, which applied to the 2020 India series and does here.

Starc is doing exactly what I described earlier in the thread as to why people are often quite harsh on him. He's perceived as not being reliable, which I think has a good amount of truth to it.
