***Official***Match #39- Australia vs Afghanistan - November 7th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

Aritro

International Regular
You chaps who've just woken up and seen the score will have no idea what a freakshow that was. He was standing there in what was very obviously excruciating pain, with all his weight on one leg, just whipping through the ball with his hands and launching them over the fence through sublime timing. He refused singles for almost the entire second hundred and got there in 52 balls, almost entirely in 4s and 6s while he could hardly move.

He swatted balls around, sometimes in a French cricket type stance, perfectly bisecting gaps in the field or launching them over the fence with laps and scoops or swipes over midwicket with one leg out of action and no solid vertical base. Just ridiculous timing and hand-eye coordination.

This is up there with Kapil's 175 off 138 after coming in at 17/5. That was batting first, and this was chasing. India were 77/8 at one point. I wish I could have seen that innings. I'm glad I saw this one.
