7 of the 11 doubles in ODI have been scored in India, which really shows you how the game is different from elsewhere.
So why couldn't entire Australia team score a double in their opening game. Batting-so-easy-in-India

The batting card looks like a grade prodigy came back to play one game of juniors to qualify for a local rep squad, it’s that lop sided.

Maxwell scored 201 out of 244 runs scored by Australia after he came in the middle. Ridic.

That must be an all time great ODI innings from Maxwell! Damn Aussies have to be considered the favorites now...

It’s nice to see the Aussie posters with some renewed hope and a sense of vigor, so that Ind can destroy it in the finals. Would have been a little plain, with everyone acknowledging Ind as outright favourites.

It seemed to show the lack of cricketing nous. I dunno exactly the point where Maxwell's legs seized up, but at that point you forget that the stumps even exist. Set men back on the off side, bowl length a foot outside off and see how freakish he is in getting those wrists to hit boundaries...or force him to run. And get Cummins on strike.
Yeah their pace bowlers didn't bowl well at the end, no full wide yorkers or decent short balls to make Maxwell move around and stretch to hit the ball.

They mostly bowled balls in the slot which just allowed him to stand and deliver with little movement required other than him just swinging the bat,

Their inexperience showed at the end like the Netherlands when Maxwell also took their bowlers to the cleaners especially poor old Bas de Leede.

I still stand by that call, Maxwell was nearly out first ball and should have been caught a couple of times, he was also lucky not to be out lbw as well.

You can't afford to give a guy like him chances like Afghanistan did, if he stays around long enough he will get his eye in and then he will make you pay.

Captain Cvmdog once again showing the English how to play a clutch lower order knock.

Don’t think Australia will be playing india in the semi finals now

Sure, but Maxi doing it on one leg makes it more special doesn’t it? And with the added pressure of a chase
Not really when the opposition is given chances after chances and also bowl exactly where you want even with one leg there was no hard work needed as the ball was put in the area where no feet movement was needed.

Mate you seem to be hard out admitting it was a special kind of innings, find something positive to say about it at least.

Don't use this as an opportunity to Gambhir. India are obviously still favourites.
Australia are just a tougher team than us, they almost always step up in big tournaments/moments. Obviously we are doing very well but the way they have bounced back after an uncharacteristically poor start has to make them at least co-favorites, if not the outright one.
