*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

School Boy/Girl Captain
The way Green was playing Marsh might be an upgrade. Though in all probability a like for like swap.

Win the toss and send them in if it's tinged with green and cloudy skies? Would love to see if they stick to their free scoring/ going the tonk mode if the conditions are bowler friendly.

I don't mind marsh for green, honestly. Greens played 3 tests on the trot and theirs a 3 day turnaround between these games. Where 2-0 up, better to rest green for a game now then in the 4th or 5th test if England get back into the series.

If marsh does come in then ide bring neser in over boland. The drop off from marsh to green in batting is huge. May even see Carey at 6.

please stop this lol – I'm fine with some but these two and "Mayer's" get on my nerves

IIRC Marsh's bowling has generally been pretty effective when he's played over here, reckon he could end up being pretty important.

Off to work shortly so sadly this thread won’t have much from me today. I’ll be with you all in spirit. Hard to see anything but total domination from England today, all played in the correct way. Let’s ****ing go!!

International Captain
It‘s going to be a feisty atmosphere and a pitch with a bit in it should make for an exhilarating Test! I’m sure there’ll be passages where one or both of them resort to the short pitched bowling tactic, which for me was not a great watch but effective for both teams. Looking forward to seeing how Wood goes, no competitive match for about two and a half months is a concern!

If Green is carrying any sort of injury he shouldn't be risked at all. He's about the rarest of commodities in cricket. No point risking turning in him into a medium paced plodder long term by playing him here if he's remotely sore. Rest him so he's still bowling 140 plus in two years, not back a MMarsh/ Stokes/ late career Watto pace levels.

MMarsh has an annoying (for them) habit of owning the Poms anyway.
No. He isn't rare. He averaging around 11 with the bat and 45 with the ball this ashes so far. Ideal stats is atleast 25 with the bat and 35 with the ball , the wickets have been very flat and he's thrown his wickets away
