*Official* Women's Ashes 2023

Can't believe England were really considering bowling first on this. This pitch should have @Spark all over it....
Would have liked this on Friday tbh

Three reviews available. I think she just thought she was out, batters often do when not playing a shot.
Probably also the fact she's a kid on debut contributed too; wouldn't have wanted to burn one as her first significant action as a Test cricketer

Mooney could have made a call from the other end though. Could be she thought it was out as well.

Mooney's looking a lot more comfortable now. Those drops could be costly.
Or not.

Filer deserved that. She's been impressive. It'll be interesting to see how long she can sustain the pace.

Completely missed this thread.

I feel like the Aussies are missing another specialist bat without Lanning in there. But what do I know.
I wonder why Mrs Starc (Healy) way down to #6.

20 year Litchfield debut something new for you for Aus

Mooney Gone

Aus 83/2*🫀

Lots of flight from Ecclestone. I think pace is better against Perry though, she seemed to be struggling against it earlier.

Rubbish from Bell. Even though she's a local girl to me, I struggle to see how she got picked ahead of Wong.

This is starting to look pretty worrying for England.

Not really the kind of day this series needed so far, can see many switching off from it quite quickly.

Breakthrough for England! Stating the obvious, but that was desperately needed.

Jonassen coming in ahead of Healy and Gardner surprises me a bit.
It does surprise me a little too, seems like the logic is wanting a bit more of an conventional style bat at 5 as opposed to Healy and especially Gardner taking a more aggressive approach

She does have a Test 99 tbf

Force of habit probably. At least in England, and probably beyond, young cricketers have for some time been required to wear helmets.
