Between Green and MMarsh I don't see how Stoinis gets games other than the fact that we all obviously know that he will, somehow.
You need Stoinis around to attract girls to the post-game functions before they can get scared away by Lyon, Marnus, Warner, Zampa & Head

His batting form in the past few years in ODI's has been stoinis pretty shaky tbf, averaging 22 with the bat and barely bowling (only 9 game sample size where he's batted 3 a fair bit tbf).

Would rather back green given how well he's taken to ODI cricket.
Must say I didn't realise Marsh hadn't done much in the format recently, although as you correctly point out it is off a small sample size

Think there can definitely be room for both him and Green in the same ODI XI. Stoinis should certainly not be there at all

I've reminded myself of my post from the start of the 2021-22 season

You could drop the entire batting order from last game and I wouldn't complain. But focusing on Sangha/Edwards and letting the other people who haven't been performing for yonks off the hook doesn't do much for me.
i say it's worth a try

Richardson apparently did his hamstring again in a grade match.

Depressing how playing in an ODI that no-one gave two hoots about has pretty much screwed his entire career.

I think with Richardson it’s best to write him off like Puc. You just move on and be pleasantly surprised if either of them come good.

Predicting Spencer Johnson’s rise to be fairly rapid.

Reminds quite a bit of a left arm version of Ryan Harris, with a similar build/bustling front on action of about 140kph.

Can see him being an Ashes bolter and an insurance policy for Starc if he starts going for plenty.

Was Manenti always this good, or is this just a legitimate out of nowhere season?
coming through the juniors, Manenti was always a better bat than a bowler (same as his brother). However this year especially he has improved massively, love to see it. As an example, his younger brother Harry and Liam Scott were in the same team, and tbh I think Harry is the better player

Liam scott is such an odd cricketer. He's been around for years in the SA setup, they tried him at #3 as a batting allrounder and it didn't work, and now he's the guy who randomly gets one game a season where he bats 7 in a lineup with manenti and mcandrew despite averaging 17 with the bat and takes a few wickets vs QLD.

That’s the problem though - he got shoved at 3, which at that point in his development was not his spot. He’s a good cricketer - just down on confidence, and at this stage probably not good enough to hold a consistent shield spot. That’s a good thing though, shows SA cricket is getting better

I have given up flying on the same day as scheduled meetings due to multiple delays and/or cancellations of flights that I have experienced so CA has gotten lucky until now
