No hard feelings or anything, it's just such a country Queensland thing to go "we're nothing like those ***** in Brisbane". Just found that somewhat amusing for some reasonI'de love to have a political party named after myself. Alas I do not.
Any word on what happened to him?No hard feelings or anything, it's just such a country Queensland thing to go "we're nothing like those ****s in Brisbane". Just found that somewhat amusing for some reason
In other news, NSW continue to produce the same results despite the team changes. Although in fairness Hughes getting injured isn't something that they can do anything about
Leg injury of some sort, took off for a run and then pulled up almost immediately. I'm not a doctor, but it didn't look greatAny word on what happened to him?
But yeah, the tails smacking a few runs again the only thing which leads to even a modestly decent score with NSW these days. They're terrible.
Was almost more use as nightwatchman as he was with the ball earlier in the season. Bowled a lot better since coming back in to the Vic team thoughPerry has been nightwatchman so often this season that he almost feels like a permanent part of their top order.
Apparently.Was McDermott dropped?
Yeah he was dropped. Whether the talk of him heading back up to Queensland started there or was already around beforehand is another question though, I personally suspect the latterApparently.
Anyone see Stobo’s caught and bowled to get rid of Wardy today? Insane catch.
This is pretty much exactly the problem I have with the idea of a Bancroft recall. Considering he did indeed struggle in the 2019 Ashes (and to a lesser extent 2017-18 here in Australia) I really have very little faith that another shot against the same opposition will end any differently. Having such a strong Shield season obviously puts him in the conversation, but it still certainly isn't the way I would goIt was a great catch by Stobo as was Marsh's slip take to break a good opening stand. Bancroft looked to have received an 'iffy' decision but Whiteman is looking solid.
Harris aside, are any of Ward, Whiteman and Bancroft in the frame for an Ashes tour? On form, Bancroft should be but past indiscretion and a poor 2019 tour might count against him.
