Reading a story on Agar on Cricinfo, didn't realise how little FC cricket he'd played in the last 3-4 years, and how poor record his was in those matches.

Selectors and admin really threw Agar to the wolves, probably because they had Steven O'Keeffe's 2017 Test in their minds.

Should've recalled SoK instead if so. Retired from FC cricket years ago but has probably still bowled many more overs with the red ball than Agar since then.

Hasn't he played a little bit of red ball stuff in Sydney Grade since the end of his FC career, or am I just imagining that?

Seriously O'Keefe could probably still do a job to this day if his body could hold up. Knowing him he would probably blow a calf getting off the plane though

was fine just a month or two ago

he's still a great player just not GOAT level he was back in the day. And to make runs against this Indian attack, you have to be.

Don't think he can replicate the 2017 BGT or 2019 Ashes style performances. Even in the last BGT he averaged a decent 44 (And that too on the flatter pitches), which is a far cry from his godlike days.

Yeah and that's what makes it even worse for Aus. Without Pant, Aus had the chance to bowl at one of worst performing indian top order in India, and yet the bowlers promptly shot themselves in the feet by giving up runs to Axar, Shami and Ashwin.
