I don't think you've read my post clearly.
I was giving props to Ash and Axar for bowling exceptionally well and despite not getting enough support. Umesh and Siraj giving away freebies on a pitch that offered plenty of help for both pacers and spinners was a big problem.
Plus our fielding was just bad, did you watch the entire game or just read the scorecard? Did you see the number of dropped catches? Sure saying that it was the "worst" day was an overstatement but we could've lost the game thanks to poor fielding and easy runs given away by our two lead pacers(after being in a very comfortable position for the most part). Anything over a 100 runs was going to be a headache in the 4th innings on that pitch.

True. Ash, Axar and Iyer somehow pulled this off but we were going to be embarrassed in this game. Bangladesh is a strong side at home but losing the game after being in the driver's seat would've been bad for the team's confidence. We were 74-7 at one point, definitely needed something outstanding+luck to win the game.

Bumrah should be back for the aussie series. So Bumrah for Umesh, Axar for Kuldeep and Gill for Mayank in your team is what they will go with for the first test.

The T20 side for the next few months should be interesting. Lots of talk that Nehra will be unveiled as the new coach of the T20 side but he was very actively involved in the auction for GT. Maybe they wanted to finish the auction before they formally made the switch.
But even without that change, with Hardik in charge and most multi-format players now concentrating on ODIs and Tests, we have an opportunity to try out some young blood.

chahal is a supporting spinner at best and gets smashed far too often for a specialist unlike rashid khan, zampa, narine etc. time to try other options - ones who are not liabilities in 2 out of 3 departments

I'd play Kuldeep for the wrist spin variety. Tough call though to drop any of the other 3.
