Yeah I never understood that.Herbert Sutcliffe. For his talent and record he gets mentioned a ridiculously small amount. Hell I see Barry Richards being mentioned and rated higher in test threads.
Fantastic commentator. One of the only ones now who just says what he thinks instead of a standardised inoffensive "opinion"Mark Waugh - much better than his stats suggest. Absolute dreadful commentator though.
Seems to be associated with the attitude that Richards would have continued to average 73 if he played more tests.Yeah I never understood that.
DefinitelyBruce Reid, Ryan Harris, for similar reasons.
Well he averaged 79 in World Series Cricket. G Chappell and Viv were next in the mid 50s.Seems to be associated with the attitude that Richards would have continued to average 73 if he played more tests.
He's better than Howie, but he knows nothing about non Aussies.Fantastic commentator. One of the only ones now who just says what he thinks instead of a standardised inoffensive "opinion"

Dunno, think he's usually regarded as our best post-FST quick, isn't he?Bob Willis doesn't seem to rate as high as he should on CW.
Mine too the way he used to put reins on the run rate in ODIs was incredible, in fact he looked to be the only bowler to dominate Tendulkar in mid 90's and that too on subcontinent wickets, can safely say he was second to none in his ability to check run-rate.Fanie de Villiers was one of my 90s favs.
First time I’ve heard of the bloke.Ross Edwards, member of Chappell's all conquering team in the mid 70's
