Less talked about excellent players

Everton Seymour

U19 Debutant
Steven Smith from the current crop , never heard of a batsman with such a high test average questioned about his technique and quality so much, especially after playing a considerable amount of test matches home and away .

Have you ever heard of Chanderpaul?

Lindsay Hasset rarely gets much of a mention nowadays either. WW2 accounted for a fair bit of his peak and he shared XIs with some true greats, but he still maintained an average in the high 40s playing into his fifth decade.
He wasn't quite 40 for his last Test.

Similarly, Rohan Kanhai averaged 47 but is overshadowed by so many other great WI middle-order batters.

Robin Smith.

Solid overall record with good averages against Pak-Aus-WI three best attacks of his time but mostly gets overlooked due to England genaral late 80's to mid 90's direness.
Was a number 11 against spin too wasn't he?

Best player of fast bowling in early ninties and was one of the very top overall untill kumble destroyed him in 1993.

Along with Sachin and Greg one of those batsmen that averaged 40 + home and away vs all comers. Great batsman, just that WI have a plethora of very good to great batsman so naturally he gets lost in the mix.

Daryl Cullinan

Mostly he's remembered as a meme who Shane Warne bullied at every opportunity. Putting that aside he was a solid batsman and was a cornerstone of a strong South Africa team in the 90's, for some reason he could never pick quality leg spin his record against Shane Warne is well known but he was pretty hopeless vs Mushtaq Ahmed as well, leaving aside Pak and Australia he averages above 50 in close to 60 tests vs all other opponents.

Used to be called the most natural batsman in SA line up ( whatever that means) also looked to be the most threatening of them as a stroke player.

Cullinan is a good one. Nowhere near most discussion when talking about SA batting greats but his record even including Warne failures is solid

Still don't get it why he was a genuine #11 vs Warne and to great extend vs Mushy when he scored bucket loads both home and away vs Murali and Kumble.
