Less talked about excellent players

Everton Seymour

U19 Debutant
Sir Frank Worrell ...
Often lazily grouped together with the Three W's tag , you rarely see him in any all-time XI's even in West Indies all time test XI's he is often excluded , I appreciate he is from a generation of cricketers that are long since past , but Sir Worrell was the perfect example of a gentleman cricketer ...He was a brilliant batsman with a average of nearly 50 and a handy left arm seamer with 2 test five-fors , his leadership was also world class ...I think in the last 20-30 years he isn't talked of as much as he used to be .

Averaged lower then Abdul Qadir yet people still talk about Qadir but Qasim is hardly in any cricketing convo.
Yes!!!! And he was atleast serviceable outside of Pakistan. Qadir wad horrible outside Pakistan.

Yesss!! Again. Actually, Sir Frank averaged 50 from his very first test until his last. It's only in his last test that his average fell below 50. Probably the only below 50 averaging player I'd call a great (along with Inzamam and a few others). Great batsman, captain, and an even greater human being. And be bowled handy left seam as well.

Yes Imran obsession with Qadir lost Pakistan a chance to win the historic 88 series in Westindies

Qasim would have won us the 3rd test.

Michael Slater, Graham Thorpe,Tresco, Mohammad Yusuf, Stephen Fleming(didn't convert 50's but whenever he scored a hundred he used to make a big one) , Darryl cullinan(aside from warne's bunny loved watching him play. )Marvan Attapatu, Chris Gayle(as a test batter) , Azharuddin.

Maybe because he overlapped with Bedser and then Trueman, but dear old George Statham never quite seems to get the props he's due. 250+ test wickets at under 25 is no small beer. Almost certainly a more modest fella than either, and definitely didn't push his own cart as hard as FST did.

Lindsay Hasset rarely gets much of a mention nowadays either. WW2 accounted for a fair bit of his peak and he shared XIs with some true greats, but he still maintained an average in the high 40s playing into his fifth decade.
