270/7 in a SOD on a flat pitch vs Morpork. I'm more than happy, don't often get that many runs against quality opposition.

Rusty Frost was slower than usual following the early wicket of Shaffrey (who hasn't gone well recently), 55 (81) before being run out. Coming off a bad patch of scores, Jan du Preez hits 106 (127), his 5th century and quite possibly his best innings for the side. Nicky Clift smacked 51 (32) before playing out 5 dot balls and a wicket. That's his 27th 50+ score for the club, equalling Shaffrey's record. Kurt Murdoch went rampant with 35* (17), setting the tone by smacking his first two balls over the fence. Artemis Fox got 4 wickets at the death.

Morpork are probably still favourites, but it will be a tough ask.

a Bangla with a batting average of 51 popped up in my NZ-oriented scouting report. He inevitably turned out to have a batting potential of... 26.

However, there is some good news. He's a 22/41 spinner. Which isn't spread out very well, only 10 accuracy. But what is very interesting is his fielding. 17 pot + bullet arm. I'll weigh up whether to keep him or Zimbo Shingirai Ndaba.

May have bitten off more than we can chew with our list of games tomorrow. Still have a 22 man squad, so will split them into two XIs for ataraXIa and Schmaltzberg, then put out a Dev XI for Honest Hunks.

ZCC is in a real golden generation of batting atm.

I thought we were done for after conceding 207/7 in today's T20 away from home. Luke Giddings had a shocker (4-0-52-1) and 18 YO, 30-skilled offie Tim Chester (3-0-38-1) didn't go too well either. He was selected because of the conditions and wanting to get him some IGT/experience, but it felt like that decision and Luke's bad day had cost us the game. Arif Jalal fell in the 2nd over, and after 11 we had just 72 on the board.

But that was just because Raun Shkorer (90* off 44) and Sajith D Estandau (82 off 55) were getting set for a massive onslaught. Every over from 12 to 19 went for double figures. A total of 139 runs were scored in those 8 overs, and we won the game with an over to spare. Ridiculous. I'm going to miss these guys when they age out, but the next few seasons should be fun

Pulled a 43 bat for Schmaltzberg...unfortunately he's defence skewed and without the stamina that will make him a decent top order bat. 7 field to boot. Think I'll just list him and hope somebody bites.

Whatever it takes!!!
Apparently I have more than $2M and I keep making money every week. Any chance this can be a real life thing now? I would love to be the guy that manages a middling cricket team in a league part time and still earns like a 100% profit week on week.

I've decided to put this guy, Raees Safi, on the TM.

I think he's still good. 42 pot and 17 field. I'd have him play out his Dev career and then decide after that whether or not he'll have a senior career.

Would go okay on the market
Yeah and considering that he’s only 15, gives him a longer time playing DEV cricket…so let’s see how it goes with him. An asterisk is being placed next to his name.

So the FHK Youth Academy have delivered me with a pleasant birthday gift this week:

45 pot batter, slow starter and 16 stam. Ideal top order player. Shame about the fielding, but he's gun and could potentially play Nat cricket as well.
The talent that FHK has pulled is truly incredible. I was just thinking recently that that talent was mostly bowling-focused, but then you go and pull an excellent bat. That team is already looking at ridiculously OP fielding, I wouldn't worry about the lack of fielding in this guy.

ofc it sucks that there are four 43+ pot late-innings-oriented bowlers, lol.
