Scouts are unreliable; many players, such as the guy you recruited, have supposedly good averages but poor potentials. Just because your scouts give you someone with a good batting average doesn't mean that they are any good. New recruits haven't played any games, the averages are just there to show (oft inaccurately) the strength of the player. How do you guys figure out the pot scores?
Also, I recruited this guy based off a scouting report. Thoughts?

The report showed a batting average of 40+ but this page shows he has not played any games. Why?
Yea the averages you see on the report are supposed to be the player's junior cricket record (or something like that). They are supposed to correlate to skill level (higher batting average should = higher skill), but not always, and the potential level is then calculated right after that. So it's like two rolls of the dice, with both dice tilted slightly in the favour of players with better averages. But it's not a guarantee. Key point. How do you guys figure out the pot scores?

It was a good game. Your home pitch is similar to ours, so the team was pretty optimised for it. We bowled well in the powerplay and at the death, and then Raun took the game away. Jalal is a ZCC T20 HOF'er IMO, put in another good performance there. The T20 vs ZCC went pretty poorly for me. 131 wasn't enough of a target, and Raun did Raun things. I wasn't too far off from exposing a weak tail though.
Meanwhile Schmaltzberg are cruising. 110/0 halfway through their SOD innings.
