The MTOs playing Dynamo Morpork this morning. Already 3 wickets down. Expect a tough match. Hopefully put up some sort of fight!

Yea, huge win for FHK that. Ted Hui is developing into the role of T20 middle-overs seamer nicely.

Morpork won the toss and elected to bowl first on an evenly paced pitch with plenty of wear and moisture. Agnes Chow (44 off 48) played anchor while skipper Tin Yau (41 off 22) showed glimpses of his brilliance as we posted 150/6 batting first. Atremis Fox was the pick of the Morpork bowlers, delivering their 4 overs for just 19 runs and a wicket. In response skipper Jayant Marita hit 54 off 40, but watched on as his side collapsed around him, with Ted Hui (4/24) and Lai O Yin (3/15) wrecking the Morpork batting lineup. The hosts bowled out for 128 as FHK make it 2-0 over Morprok in the CWC2. Pregame ratings actually had FHK as slight favourites - 55k vs 51k.

Also in the CWC2 - ZCC hammered Schmaltzberg by 90 runs after electing to bat first at the Schmaltzberg Mining Inc stadium. We lost a couple of early wickets, but Zack Yattack continued his good form with the bat, hitting 65 off 42 to help us post 163/5. In response Luke Giddings made full use of the dry and worn pitch to dismantle the hosts' batting. He removed Schmaltzberg's 3, 4, 5 and 6, ending with the ridiculous figures of 3-2-5-4. The rest of the bowlers just did their job around him and we bowled them out for 73.

Winton CC picked up a nice 47 run win over Picasso Moon, with club veteran Brendan Studsor hitting 55*, and new signing Daniel Fletcher scoring 27* off 15 and taking 3/22 with the new ball. Pregame ratings of 49K for the side in transition.

Finally the Honest Hunks persisted with the strategy of using 10 different bowlers, yet managed to bowl out the Wombats for just 83. All but one of the bowlers used took a wicket! The pitch seemed pretty good for batting but the Hunks made a hash of the chase, losing 5 wickets taking 16 overs to make the runs. But hey, a win is a win, and this is the Hunks' 4th win of the CWC2.

Despite the loss Morpork are still in 2nd place, courtesy of NRR. It's going to be interesting to see which of these two sides make it to the final by the end of the league, with ZCC starting to build a near unassailable lead despite the loss to Dynamo Morpork earlier in the competition. Winton CC and Dynamo Schmaltzberg in neck and neck competition for 4th place as well, definitely a battle to keep an eye on. The Hunks pulling away from the bottom of the table as well, which is great news for them heading into CWC3. Now only if they could set orders for their games...

ZCC to observe a minute of silence before each home CWC3 game

Div 2 EurAfrican club and CWC1 champions ZCC have announced that they will observe a minute of silence before every home CWC3 game.

This is in observance of the passing of a beloved club member affectionally know as 'Dom Dom'.

Dev team captain Danial Ahsan spoke about this decision before the press earlier today.

"Dom Dom was like an elder sister to most of us here in the team, and we've would like to dedicate the upcoming CWC3 to her memory."

"It has been a difficult 3 months for all of us, and we believe honoring her memory before each match will help us remember the joy she brought to the club, and remind us why we play this sport to begin with."

The Club had renamed their home ground to the Dom Dom Memorial CG early in April, and skipper Arif Jalal spoke then about her influence on the club.

"She was the biggest fan this club had ever had. She would watch the games, organise events, help with kit, cook for us, and she would even come down to net sessions and give the guys throw downs! She put so much of her time and energy into this club. She was a genuine friend, and the club is poorer without her"

"Her passing at such a young age, and so unexpectedly, is incredibly tragic. In many was she was the heart and soul of the club. Since her passing we have come together and committed ourselves to preserving her memory and keeping her spirit alive. It's a great gesture by the club management to rename the ground in her honor, and we all are fully supportive of it."

Excellent win for the Astronauts! Two rapidly improving teams - ratings 45k and 46k. Neither of whom can defend a score it seems :p 7 successful run chases from 8 games between the two clubs.

International Captain
Will have a closer look at things and look to get back to you in next 48 hours on that but yh prices I set were potentially a bit optimistic - tried to go off someone on forum who had made players available and kind of extrapolating from there and going towards higher end of any estimates for what might be market price.
@cnerd123 have listed Eugene at 20k just now

Really enjoying today's game vs @Marcuss

ZCC are fielding a U23 side against Ashgrove Astronauts today. Still includes two international cricketers (Shkorer and D Estandau). The biggest loss are Bikswing Nouding, Luke Giddings and Hashim Zahid from the bowling attack.

On top of this we've opted to give Chung Yiu only 9 overs, and Arif Jalal just 7. That leaves 34 overs bowled by our 2nd string attack.

We've also opted to chase on a flat pitch with a bit of wear. Putting our batters under pressure to chase whatever Ashgrove score. This also means our bowlers don't have scoreboard pressure to work with.

Ashgrove still batted better than expected. 306/5. Yikes.

The chase started well, but both internationals are now out. We've batted Madani at 4 and Ahsan at 5, and they predictably couldn't deal with the pressure. Yattack at 6 and Jalal at 7 to hopefully bail them out. But I think we're going to lose, despite a 6k ratings advantage.

Excellent match. I hope we get close. 97 needed in 15 overs for Yattack + Jalal. Right after them is the tail.

Oh and we also gave Danial Ahsan the captaincy! Lol.

The first-choice skipper Jalal nicks off, that's the game I reckon. Hope we can somehow get to 280, or atleast bat out the 50 from here.

holy moly this partnership

aiya jinxed it. 57 off 42 balls for Chester and Yattack. Chester gone, can Ramalingam and Chung Yiu hang in there with Yattack? They're both proper number 11s, so not looking good.

Ramalingam and Yiu are proper bunnies. Absolutely useless lol.

Great win that for the Astronauts. Not a team to be taken lightly. Very impressed by the standards here at CW, gonna be a fun CWC3 :thumbup1:
