FHK with a must win game to get out of relegation zone. Batting first at home - goal is to get runs on the board and give Lester and Lai O Yin something to work with. Shame it's overnight, I'll wake up tomorrow to the result.

ZCC have ended in 3rd place, which is excellent all considered. Won 8 lost 6, actually a worse win/loss record than the team below us, but the bonus points and NRR have taken us past them. Looking forward to that sweet sweet prize money.

We bowled them out for 159. I’m just hoping that this pair lays a good foundation for us in chasing down this target. Low score targets are always tricky.

For the record, Tipping and Nazar featured in a 100-run opening partnership a few days ago (the first for Mooo).

It’s amazing how good Nazar is as an opener. But I have been pushing him down the order because I value his bowling more than his batting. So far today, he’s giving me a good start with the bat.

Can't wait for ataraxia to absolutely stomp me again
Oh, I'm looking forward to this. You've bumped up your ratings so should be a very interesting game; you've been unlucky for the last few. I've never won against you batting first and I've been put in.

FHK have avoided relegation! :toot: we live to fight in Americas SOD Div 2.2 for another season. Remarkable effort for the 4-season old home-grown side!

50% win rate is not bad at all. As for the game itself - Qasim Abdullah registered his career-first century (114 off 109 from number 3) as we piled on 330/7 batting first. Everyone in the Top 7 crossed double digits and number 8 Lai O Yin hit a boundary off the only ball he faced, so solid team effort. All the bowlers bowled well, but the surprising pick of the bowling was batting-allrounder Michael Kovrig, with 3/12 in 4 overs of left-arm-spin. Qasim Abdullah picked up a run-out to go with his ton, and we won by a massive 156 runs. Fantastic effort.

End of season wrap up for ZCC and FHK:

FHK - Americas
OD League - 4th in Div2.2
Top performers: Michael Kovrig (555 runs @ 42.69, SR 71.61) and Pong Nam (25 wickets @ 22.88, Econ 4.60)
T20 League - 1st in Div3.7
Top performers: Tin Yau (436 runs @ 54.50, SR 144.85) and Pong Nam (30 wickets @ 8.83, Econ 4.23)
DEV League - 2nd in Div3.6
Top performers: Agnes Chow (370 runs @ 26.43, SR 70.61) and Ivan Lam (21 wickets @ 7.10, Econ 3.17)

Div 2 in both OD and T20 next season! Going to be challenging. Disappointed we couldn't secure promotion in Dev, but that probably is for the best. Means we can have our best young talent focus more on Senior cricket. Might need to recruit an extra 16 YO or two to help pick up the slack. Kinda regretting selling off both Jeroen Coetzee and Wali Rana now.

ZCC - EurAfrica
OD League - 3rd in Div2.1
Top performers: Shahbaz Furqan (744 runs @ 57.23, SR 79.23) and Chung Yiu (30 wickets @ 18.30, Econ 4.69)
T20 League - 4th in Div2.2
Top performers: Sajith D Estandau (518 runs @ 47.09, SR 124.82) and Arif Jalal (25 wickets @ 14.44, Econ 7.10)
DEV League - 8th in Div1.1
Top performers: Stuart Garner (477 runs @ 43.36, SR 84.88) and Tim Chester (19 wickets @ 27.53, Econ 6.47)

Happy to survive in Div 2 for another season. Dev team relegating was unavoidable - need to get better at progression planning. Some unexpected to performers, which is a pleasant sign.
