why is opening with a spin bowler bad? So you dont consider spin as a skill in cricket?
If yes, then stop watching any match where a spinner is playing.. watch baseball ffs. ?‍♂
It’s an inferior skill.

You’re new here, but I have objectively proven this to be the case over the course of a decade and a half. If you research some old posts of mine you’ll learn a bit as to why it’s the case.

Particularly finger spin. Spin is the only skill in the sport which can be effectively undertaken at a decent level by someone who’s morbidly obese and not necessarily altogether conventionally abled, to put it mildly.

but enough on this. Go do some research and you’ll learn something. Do you good. We should instead be focusing on how crap England has been and how good Sharma, Rahane and Pant were yesterday.

I genuinely cannot understand how Gill just hit Moeen for six? Must be one of the greatest shots of all time to hit a six on this crumbling minefield.

Former English players being sore losers here! Last Test the Toss was massive yet they were perfectly happy with that because it heavily favoured England. This one - the toss was much less of a factor! It has been spinning sharply from the very first hour!

Last test- balls were shooting low or bouncing too much when India were batting. This pitch has so far not had that! Its still better than it was on day 4/5 of 1st test.

India will prove it with their batting in this 3rd innings.

If England had dismissed Rohit for a low score on day 1, India would have made a sub 200 total too! But England didn't bowl well and Rohit and later Pant took the game away.

So these former cricketers from uk can shut the **** up. They can cry when India scores TWICE as much in this 3rd innings than England got in the 2nd innings. That will show up their BS theories about toss and also pitch being a so called disaster!

Whatever it takes!!!
I mean I wouldn't want pitches like this all the time but they're definitely something I don't mind seeing every now and then. They're certainly a much more interesting contest than horrible roads where the main wicket taker is S. Pressure but that the ICC seems to think are fine.
This pitch is exactly like the Mumbai wicket we played England in 2016. There is good turn, good bounce and good pace on the wicket and most importantly, it is CONSISTENT all through. If you are not good enough to play here, its mostly down to skill.

The footwork of England batsmen against compared to India's is like watching a nerd trying to pin a flower on his prom date's dress in front of her dad while not trying to touch boobs.

Are people above saying that the pitch is going to improve as the game goes on ?
No, we are saying the pitch is the same and is consistent for both sides. You guys are getting spooked by the dust and the top layer exploding but the red soil lower layer will keep the pitch together fine. Bounce, turn and pace are all consistent so far.

Lol no it isn’t unfair to the team batting first at all. Anymore than this pitch is unfair to a side batting last which gets skittled for 100. The difference is a pitch which starts green showcases a diversity of skills across the game. If a pitch goes through the top and rags from day one, you rule out one of the skill sets in the game.

it’s why pitches like this are inferior and historically have led to side which dish them out being inferior too
Ignoring the pile of salt in this post, lets concentrate on the lies.

Seamers are always in the game on such tracks due to reverse swing - Its no more unfair on seamer as it is on spinners when they have to depend on overspin more than sidespin to get wickets in SENA. If you dont have the skillsets, just suck it up and accept your inferiority in cricket, and in life.
