Yeah this is a bit of a weird one though because his international T20 performances have been truly awful. Different bowler now and worth another go but not really a sure thing.Holder too, he was terrific in the IPL

The Big Idiot happened. He has a lot to answer for. Our administrators are experts at creating problems not solving them.yeah, I remember at one stage I considered him potentially Root/KW/Smith/Kohli level
had 6 tons and averaged 47 after 30 tests, which was about the rate they were going before they all stepped up a gear and he shifted down one
Felt that way about Sachin and Lara too, tbh.Yeah I firmly believe the difference in output between Joe Root and both Dinesh Chandimal and Darren Bravo has much more to do with administrative nonsense than the players themselves.
m8 this is how your accent sounds. seeeeeeeex feesh and cheeps. remember we say sux and fush and chups.I know that it's satisfying when a batsman hits a six but these kiwi commentators are making me uncomfortable with their cries of "***" every time the ball sails over the rope.
Our batting lineup, even without Lewis, Simmons and Russell, is all kind of danger to the opposing team. Unfortunately our bowling lineup is mostly only a danger to themselves.Holy crap that was some crazy batting. How do you go from losing 5/sfa to putting up a total of 180 in only 16 overs?
In fact, just thinking this through, it is the exact opposite of our test side. Sigh. Our batting lineup, even without Lewis, Simmons and Russell, is all kind of danger to the opposing team. Unfortunately our bowling lineup is mostly only a danger to themselves.
Haha I thought that when you made the original post too.In fact, just thinking this through, it is the exact opposite of our test side. Sigh.
Good signs but I have to remind myself that Sunil Ambris dominated every NZ bowler he came across in the warm ups last time and then proceeded to step on his stumps with alarming regularity.I don’t know the last time our red ball outfit cleared 500 in an innings; be it in tests or these lampy-pampey matches
Yeah, I thought it was pretty inconsistent. The Windies seemed to definitely get away with less than we didQuick thought circulating the rounds on twitter. Do we think Jamieson got away with more bouncers than he should have at Allen and Pollard? I missed that segment of our innings so don't really know but some West Indies fans are saying the umpiring on the short balls was a bit inconsistent. They wanted Oshane to bowl 6 short balls per over to see how many the umpires would call
Yeah, he does doesn't he. He's either in full on snot it mode or defending, with nothing in between. And that hasn't changed from the time he debuted. He relies on bad balls to score. Doesn't generally make his own length, hit good balls for four (unless snotting) and seems to have no mindset to rotate strike.Phillips is undoubtedly better. Seifert in T20/ODIs does seem to try and hit the living **** out of every ball so I wonder if he could benefit from a change in approach. He has started to build a decent FC record, wonder if he could bring a little more control and shot selection to his limited overs batting.
Hey yeah I was gonna bring this up too. Whoever the person they have at NZC or spark editing/rendering footage has no idea about cricket. Cut out most of Ferguson's wickets and NZ batting in the "highlights". Like doing highlights of matches played in recent years at 480p quality wasn't embarrassing enough. Shell out of a few bucks and hire a proper video editor, NZC.Has anyone else seen the official 'highlights' (a term I use very, very loosely) video for this match?
It's... something else.
