The open-mouthed expression that Smith does on getting a good nut or like when he got out last night...is that a new development? Is he miming Broad's looking incredulous schtick? (doubt it)
I hope so. And I hope the entire Australian team does that to Broad when he’s dismissed this evening

Smith deserves all the credit that’s coming his way but Cummins has been immense

He and Bumrah are fantastic bowlers

this chat and another chat the other day has reawaken my dislike for when clarke cost himself the record by declaring an age before he should have

Don't leave out Rabada either. Still the most complete package among the three for my money.

EDIT: On second thoughts, the other two, and Cummins in particular, have caught up with him over the last year. Rabada has that overt fast bowler mentality though, the kind of thing that can get ppl out through sheer intimidation. Cummins is more of a toiler, albeit a very talented one. Bumrah is a different kettle altogether.

Cummins is the intimidator

Guy is brutal, skilled & relentless

Put Bumrah in same boat

Rabada is very talented but seems to have lost his way recently

I'd take Bumrah and Cummins to somehow extract something a little more out of a pitch seemingly offering nothing though.

If this "maybe England can score 200 runs in the last session" stuff the Sky comms are talking about is the actual attitude of the English batsmen then Australia are precisely a 100.00% chance to retain the Ashes today.

Bat out 98 overs. No more, no less, no distractions.

Partly stuff they have to say to keep viewers tuned in though isn't it

They won't be thinking about that. If we happened to get to tea at 200/3 then they might discuss it I guess

Yeah true. I guess "the proven successful way to draw these Test matches is to play nothing but the leave, the forward defence, and maybe the flick off the pads" does sound much less enticing.

With their middle order you can understand the attitude, not listening right now but surely Sky are taking the opinion that England would have to be 220 at tea having lost either none or 1 wicket going into the last session to be any sort of chance to actually win the game

Haven't seen all of it but it seems the OT crowd have been the fairest so far. Fair contrast with Stokes but Smith deserved losing the captaincy even if he wasn't an active participant in the cheating. The severity of his (and Warner's) punishment was unjust though, and the crowd's booing an incident that didn't concern their team and whose own team has done much the same thing, just hypocritical.
You think Warner's punishment was unjust? As in unduly long? I can't follow the logic. I'm all for the booing of him, he brought the game into massive disrepute and on top of that, was so spineless he got others to do it for him. I hated the personal rubbish on him in SA but he can cop all this latest stuff.

Haven’t spoken to anyone who believes that Warner should’ve been selected for Australia again

That might be because he’s a massive ****, which is fair enough, but 12 months was ridiculous
