ICC ranking so controversial now.Nice reading this morning that Australia now have Smith and Cummins as the #1 batsman and #1 bowler which is the first time since 2006 when we had Ponting and McGrath

As much as I love Bumrah, Cummins is definitely the best bowler in the world right now. Rabada gets more favourable home pitches, Bumrah just isn't quite as good. Cummins is a beast and the only reason he isn't rated more highly in the eyes of Joe public is because Australia's batting has been woeful, which makes Cummins' accomplishments with the ball seem less than they have been.

Doesn't Bumrah just need a larger sample to get max points. He has only just started. He'll be number 1 soon enough. It will be fun watching his rating progress.

Bumrah is awesome. There isn't a huge amount of difference between him and Cummins and Rabada.
It's so strange he's not yet played a test at home yet. He's also had some sub- standard batting to bowl to. Australia without Warner or Smith, England and the West Indies. Cummins has faced slightly stronger opposition thus far (tbf batting at the moment is consistently horrible worldwide outside a few key players).
Bumrah could overtake Cummins if he maintains this trajectory and is as good at home as he is away. But it's fair to say that Cummins is the more accomplished bowler right now.

Update on the weather, raining and pretty miserable at this point. Forecast suggested there’d be a fair overnight and doesn’t look like they were wrong. There is a chance of this clearing around 9 o’clock and then it should clear up significantly. There will be the threat of showers throughout but no more prolonged periods of rain forecast, but we shall see.
