*Official* India Tour of Australia 2018/19

International Coach
The best part of this is Australia fans talking about the fight and the solace they take from the fact that they took it to the fifth day. This is Australia. In Australia. Against a SC side. It’s unbelievable. How the mighty have fallen.

India need to not **** this up. This is Kohlis career defining moment. He can win world cups and break records but other Indians have done that. No Indian - no subcontinental captain at all - not even the great Imran Khan - whose teams managed to draw series against the West Indians of the 80s - has managed to win a Test series in Australia. This is it. Time to do it. This is how you go down in history.
The only part I find annoying here is the focus on kohli. Yeah, he's the captain but the whole team has the opportunity to be part of history.

Trophy is far less important than avoiding the utter embarrassment and abject disgrace of losing to India in Australia.

Some stats:

Ishant becomes the 6th highest indian wicket taker of all time surpassing Bedi.

Jadeja becomes the 10th highest indian wicket taker of all time surpassing Prasanna.

It is the first time an Indian team has won 4 test matches in a calendar year outside Asia. It is also the first time an indian team has lost 7 test matches in a calendar year outside Asia.

India now has 3 victories in Melbourne ( their maximum in any Australian venue). Breakdown of all indian victories in Australia - Mebourne(3), Adelaide(2),Perth(1), Sydney(1).

Anyway congratulation indian supporters for 150th test victory away from india

bumrah man of match for 9 for 86 because he is part of winning team
It is 150th test victory overall. Not away from India. I am sure 70-80% of them will be at home :)

regardless of 3/1 or 2/2 we {india}will keep gavaskar/border trophy
There will be deep disappointment if we can't win the series this time. Just keeping the trophy won't do. Need to select the best possible team in Sydney at any cost. Hope Kohli/Shastri do not screw up the eleven.

So true this. Pujara and Bumrah have been the most important cogs in the wheel. Also, hats off to Mayank for a dream debut. Hope we have a settled opening pair once Shaw comes back.

Top post. I hope Ashwin finds his zone and runs through this Aussie side in Sydney.

I'm just worried about Pat Cummins. We might see some inspiring fast bowling from him in Sydney.

I hope Pujara takes his time, be in his comfort zone and take 500+ balls to score a double at Sydney, the easiest batting pitch of the series probably.

Agarwal was excellent in both innings. Seemed composed and attacked smartly when needed. Atleast for the short term, one of the opening spots seems to be less of a headache.

Nice to see him treat Lyon with disdain too.
