He’s been pretty good the last two years or so and he’s their most experienced pacer. I think he’ll actually do well if he bowls the right length - he has a style and trajectory that’s more likely to work here than the skiddier blokes - hits the deck and gets a bit of bounce. What sort of pace does he hit these days? How do you guys think Ishant's gonna do this game?
132-142 sort of range I thinkWhat sort of pace does he hit these days?
This is at least partly off set by not just how weak this Australian line up is, but how unproven, even at home. Three blokes in the top six playing their first home test, three Victorians in the top six too. As weak and unproven a line up since the mid-80s.how many overs before the realisation sets in that bowling in england is nothing like bowling in australia?
I think in the past he’s been one of those blokes who seems unlucky but has actually bowled a foot too short to catch edges or hit poles. I haven’t seen much of him recently but posts on here suggest he’s been a lot better, so from an Indian POV you’d hope he steps up and continues that.132-142 sort of range I think
I remember it well, that was some seriously insipid bowling. A career economy rate of 4.77 says a lot.I was speaking of Varun Aaron before, that guy really wasted the new ball at Adelaide. Served absolutely floaty trash to Warner in his first spell of that last Adelaide encounter.
I haven't seen enough to judge what lengths he usually bowls. From what I did see of the SA, Eng series and county cricket he was bowling big inswingers quite full recently.I think in the past he’s been one of those blokes who seems unlucky but has actually bowled a foot too short to catch edges or hit poles. Vijay Kumar was worse. The Anal examination Warner administered at Perth in 2012 was just sad to watch.I remember it well, that was some seriously insipid bowling. A career economy rate of 4.77 says a lot.
He brained Stuart Broad though, have to give credit for that
