Nah I think he meant what he said. It's a more philosophical question than just ranking cricketers based on specific formats really. We have an unofficial "Tests unless specifically stated otherwise" rule on CW which makes the answer clearly no, but ignoring that it's more interesting. It may be that in 50 years people will look back and say clearly yes (note: I certainly hope not). We use "man ahead of his time" as a positive description of past players we rate really highly here all the time; maybe Gayle will looked at the same in an era where T20 franchise competence reigns supreme. In that case my posts will be looked upon as garbage though (bar this one).I think Slippy meant "one of the top T20 cricketers" rather than "one of the top 20 cricketers"
To which I'd say definitely.
Nah he just collects them.Doesn't he pimp hoes now?
Eccentric hobby TSTL.Nah he just collects them.
As a moderator who should probably be warning that above post rather than adding to it, I'm glad you've given me an out.
He actually looks much fitter this season. Seems to have worked on his fitness a bit. He actually sort of runs between the wickets now. It's funny how he lumbers along these days. Even the sixes he hits seem to be in slow motion. Never seen anyone take block bash to this extreme before.
I hope he's being smart with his money. Being a professional cricketer isn't going to last that much longer for himDoesn't he pimp hoes now?
I mean,
WG Grace used to do precisely similar stuff apparently.
Was seen to struggle to accelerate the innings in ODIs, was dropped as a result.Kinda strange he has a batting average of 50 in one day international cricket and he never seems to get picked, he looks another under used player that India should have picked more.
