***Official*** Bangladesh Tour of South Africa 2017

It pretty shocking leadership to be so scared of collapsing in the first innings that you'd rather bowl first (thus making victory harder to achieve) simply to avoid the risk of humiliation.

Then they went and capitulated in the 4th innings anyways.

So bad
I think there's a huge amount of confused thinking in and around the Bangladesh team right now, they don't seem close to knowing what their strongest XI is, they have little faith in their batsmen in these conditions yet it is the bowlers that get dropped, who should take the new ball seems uncertain, the list goes on.

Batting first when you've just been rolled in conditions alien to you is a huge risk, I'm not saying in this case it's necessarily the wrong thing to do here, but you can see why he'd take the option to field.

>pick someone whose only utility is with the new ball and is basically useless beyond his first spell
>take him off after two overs

So bad.

haven't seen him bat so cant say. I think AZH rates him though.
He looks okay. I really want him to be ****ing **** so we can call him Shunto and laugh at him, but sadly he looks okay.

I'd be keener to see some of the blokes who were tried as kids and predictably failed but have gone on to really dominate domestically lately get a go though. Amanul Haque strikes me as someone worth revisiting, for example.

Yea all the leading run-scorers and wicket-takers are basically players who were tried and rejected after a handful of games in their early 20s

Would be interesting to see how they go at International level now.

Elgar is in such great form... hopefully lasts the whole summer. Makes such a differrence when your openers score runs, consistently.

3 bowlers have bowled more overs than Bangla's best bowler so far. Mushfiq is the worst captain.

I think Elgar has scored more runs in this test series through the covers than his entire test career. Usual shots on the offside end up behind square.

Always been a fantastic puncher of the ball straight though.
Moeen aside he hits the spinners over the top pretty good as well. Also, he only needs 20 or so more runs for the most runs he has scored in a test series.

Definitely time for him dominate more now.

Seems to score a hundred every series and then little bits like you've said before. England he got that 50 at Lords + Trent Bridge and the 100 at Oval was it ? So that was a step fwd itself.

He and Ben Stokes should hang out, share tips.

But I'm so happy Elgar is feasting with runs this year.
Has a handy lead (200+) on Pujara for leading test run scorer in 2017. Though Pujara still has three tests to come.

I'm assuming they dropped Miraz in order to protect his average from further damage

Bloke went from averaging 24>30 when he played India and 31>37 in the last game.
