Vern was meant to play last round for Cobras to prove fitness for the 2nd test and didn't.

Morris ruled out for the series according to press release. But been with the Proteas.

Parney it is. Both him Olivier bowled out Sri Lanka but that was at least at the Wanderers. Better be some pace at Bloem.

Although he hasn't played in the Sunfoil Series, so I suppose it depends on how strict Gibson is going to be with that. But if not him then who? The spinners have been the ones taking the wickets in the first two rounds, so there's not much to go on.

Was thinking of saying that too. Considering he had an injury as well but did play Carribean T20. It just shows you what it means about Paterson, B.Hendricks, Dala, Magala etc with our 'A' team losing series because they not as strong as our A teams used to be.

Right now there is no one else. Real shame due to injuries. Morris, Parnell, Olivier will be there-and-thereabouts until some young guns like Dupavillon and Ngidi get some luck.

Thing is I look at Migael Pretorius and Anrich Nortje and they don't excite me as much as the other two youngsters mentioned but could do jobs.

Not watching this but how I wish I was. Has been threatening to get a bag of wickets for a while now. Had tough tours of NZL, ENG by his high standards but easy to forget only 22 still.

Its amazing how often Rabada picks up the slack when we are a bowler down...
And he's got a third. Rabada seems to have this thing where he can look somewhat ordinary for long periods of time then all of a sudden he'll just turn it on, which is what he's doing now.

I wonder who was the last test bowler to reach 100 wickets before the age of 23? Rabada is absolutely set.

I wonder if that is do to his easy run-up...

Rabada has been on a fantastic line and length this morning, built pressure. Think he may have been trying to hard in Eng and did not quite find the radar. Maybe the Duke ball?

Could be. He had a short but decent spell with Kent but it could also just be inexperience of conditions (patience required etc)

It does concern me that Olivier and Phehlukwayo combined have bowled less overs than any one of Morkel or Rabada. Phehlukwayo in particular has bowled less than 10 overs in 2 innings and his batting is not good enough to allow that in a 4 seamer attack.

Maharaj also bowling fantastic this morning!
