I prefer Maharaj as a bowler... I pick players for their primary ability than as allrounders.

Lineup is heavily reliant on them too, so if they don't convert their fifties into big scores it stings more. They'd probably get a little less criticism in a stronger lineup.

Yeah, basically this. Always strikes me as a bit unfair that (Root moreso than Cook) they in a way cop flack because their teammates are often a bit rubbish.

Right but it's not a problem Steve Smith or Williamson to a lesser degree have and they hardly have a murderers row of colleagues. Hence the critique.

Pretty safe review given De Kock caught it. 300 has to be first target here, is a ok score but nothing more. Anything under is poor.
Reckon Stokes should play a few shots.

I predicted at the start of the series that Toblerone would make a surprise score with the bar. Be a good time for it, 350 looks a considerable distance away suddenly

Excellent is very strong. Inconsistent would be my description, some torrid spells some unplayable ones.
