Yeah that was a pretty good score for 50 overs, never mind 39. Career best for Jennings and only his second one-day ton.

Keaton's already off to a flyer again this season. Best thing Durham did was keeping hold of him, at least until the Tests roll around.

Certainly proving his case a bit more than Hameed so far.

Only was watching the Roses match flittingly, but JB's keeping still a bit iffy if you ask me. It's time for Foakes, Stokes, Woakes clearly.

What stood out for me from the Roses match was Adil Rashid's spell of bowling, thought he was excellent. His control was really good and none of the Lancs batsmen looked to have any conviction in picking his deliveries, even the highly rated Liam Livingstone couldn't pick his variations. He looked a constant threat.

Tomorrow's squads,

Durham

Keaton Jennings (c), Stephen Cook, Michael Richardson, Graham Clark, Paul Collingwood, Cameron Steel, Paul Coughlin, Ryan Pringle, Stuart Poynter (wk), James Weighell, Graham Onions, George Harding, Chris Rushworth

Harding (slow left-arm) drafted in from the Seconds. Onions drafted in from the Northants Seconds game also (they're obviously adapting to the scheduling in allowing Onions to play one-dayers, considering the absence of red ball cricket). Wood rested.

Yorks
Gary Ballance (Captain), Jonny Bairstow (Wicketkeeper), Tim Bresnan, Karl Carver, Ben Coad, Matthew Fisher, Peter Handscomb, Jack Leaning, Alex Lees, Adam Lyth, Steven Patterson, Azeem Rafiq, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Matthew Waite.

PS

If memory serves, Harding played in that Emirates Airline Twenty20 thingy in Dubai.

Good day out for the sons of former SA cricketers for Durham.

Cook, Jennings, Richardson.

The Durham first pick bowling has been disappointing thus far this season - in both championship and list a. I rather expected our batting to be creaky as it has been creaky up to and including last season: once Borthwick at number three was back in the pavilion it was fragile unless Colly pulled-off something. I however didn't expect the bowling to be so laborious! I think Rushworth needs to get back on the pies. By the way, the post-season -48 points political thingy has turned poor Graham Onions's beard greyer than Gandalf's.

Problem with all the wicketkeepers is that they are part time which I guess is what you are getting at. Bairstow, Buttler, Billings they all keep a bit and field a bit. They are all good quality international fielders - that's a blessing and a curse if you want to keep wicket. Need to concentrate solely on keeping if any of them want to be good keepers - but what can you do if England or your franchise want you to field. Foakes in that respect has an advantage over all of them.

Don't think you'll get all the ex players like Vince, Ballance, Finn, Jordan. They know more or less how they'll perform. More likely to see some young bowlers. Helm, Crane, Garton. Probably Northeast as a bat. Probably take a bit of a guide from the 50 over comp going on right now.

Kind of hoping the next best are chosen to see where some of our players stand.

Although going by the 50-over comp ; Roland-Jones and Helm bowling well as opposed to team mate and England player Finn.
