Context isn't yours, given the post above mine referred to scoring. I won't forgive you for that for any reason.Umpiring isn't scoring but I'll forgive you for that given your age
Nah, never done that. Made plenty of mistakes though.Any of you cheated while scoring? I was a bit naughty once and put down a 2 as a boundary because the fielder touched the rope but umpire didn't give it.
Bring an iPad along when you need to do it. Scoring is ridiculously easy with those.Nah, never done that. Made plenty of mistakes though.
We share the duties between the dads at reps and it's a pain in the arse because everyone asks you four times per over what the ****ing score is, then the coaches come along and want to know how many balls the kid on 58 not out has faced (we count those too).
I only do it because it stops me pacing around when the young bloke is batting.
The slow arm of death .... I always thought he was good. The fact that nobody here has him on the radar shows me that he didn't make glaring mistakes. That means he was good. What's the forum's view on Rudi Koertzen?
Does this count as you announcing your retirement?Jono may be on to something. Clearly the way forward to attract more spectators to the sport is to ban ugly blokes from playing.
They'll have to ban me, not going down without a fightDoes this count as you announcing your retirement?

Actually he gets a fair bit of stick on here, but not as much as some others. From the times I saw him, he seemed pretty good (certainly not the best, mind) but obviously that was only a portion of his umpiring career. The slow arm of death .... I always thought he was good. He was consistently ****.Billy Bowden was entertaining umpire but his decision making was not consistent
