I am not as harsh on Lyon as some of the others here, but these pitches have hardly been the slow and low UAE tracks. Sure they don't offer as much as Australian pitches but they have had decent bounce. You have to adapt. You cannot play cricket based on a template.

Doubt that makes a difference if you're talking in terms of media attention..Only the Ashes gets attention among away tours. The cricket season will start in November and Burns, Warner and Vogues will get massive double hundreds and all will be forgotten.

The SL batsmen have also played the Aus spinners a lot better than vice versa. I think that's a big part of it.
