They're not even remotely related most of the time, which I know is quite ironic. I can tell you from experience that some of the most sensible cricketers, ie "intelligent" batsman in club cricket at least are often the least "intelligent" blokes, and there's often very little correlation between how book-smart or sensible you are as a person and how you bat. I'm easily the most intelligent person in any team I've played in but if you saw me bat you'd think I had absolutely no sense whatsoever.it's funny people call him brainless coz in interviews he seems like a smart dude. I would use other words like arrogant, impatient and impulsive if I was to criticise his batting
Does your smartness correlation coefficient extend to your forum posting as well? They're not even remotely related most of the time, which I know is quite ironic. Having said that though I don't really agree that Maxwell seems like a smart dude at all from what I've seen
I'm not sure if this was real or if I've imagined it (good possibility it's the latter tbf) but I'm sure I've seen Maxwell step down the track and overhead smash a bouncer over cover for 6.Buttler & Billings?
obviously notDoes your smartness correlation coefficient extend to your forum posting as well?
Yeah, fair call. I was thinking along the lines of those Maxwell and Buttler hockey shots where they dig out near-yorkers for dead flat sixes over cover. Insane.I'm not sure if this was real or if I've imagined it (good possibility it's the latter tbf) but I'm sure I've seen Maxwell step down the track and overhead smash a bouncer over cover for 6.
Scoops and paddles and all that jazz are all well and good but I just love it when a batsman pulls off an outrageous shot that just shouldn't work like that.
disagree tbhChurchill when he opposed appeasement in the 1930s
Agree Nev's selection up there with opposing appeasement. In fact it's greater.disagree tbh
