lol that's just racist

having dark skin doesn't magically make you a good player of spin
Or it could be they thought he might be a decent player of spin from playing a lot at the SCG when he was younger.

Mind you, both opinions are pig ignorant.

In this match the Aus spiders have bowled the grand total of two maidens.

BTW, can somebody who's watching (rather than following cricinfo) tell me what proportion of this expensiveness is the bowling, the field settings and the batting?

I don't think we need to be looking at how the spinners have bowled as the reason Australia is doing so poorly.

What has being left-handed got to do with wicket-keeping? What were Adam Gilchrist, Kumar Sangakkara - right-handers?
Gilly and Sanga both right handed. Just batted left handed. Adams bowled left handed too.

Can't just bowl Starc into the ground. Aside from just coming back from injury, day 1 he bowled big overs for a guy who operates at his intensity and took 5. Then half-way into the first session of day 2, he's in the field again and, of course, who knows how many overs he'll bowl today or tomorrow. This is why SL are going after the spinners now, get as many as they can knowing the pacers will be back on soon.

There's always that as well. But I don't think six or so an over is really acceptable, especially when Starc or Halewood could be bowling. Or Marsh, or Voges

Go away Alyssa

Siddle wouldn't let injury get in his way of victory, Warne was right about Mitchy.

Mate, there's no scoreboard pressure. SL couldn't be so freely attacking the spinners if they were 3/70 odd and in deficit or just ahead. Starc and Haze have both already had stress fractures, and why wouldn't they when they have to carry that ****ing batting order around on their backs all day.
