Yep, I actually think I had forgotten quite how mad the whole thing it is until tonight.

Their second half of the season form must be absolutely immense because I remember you saying at Xmas that they only had the same number of points Southampton had at that stage last season
I'm not sure points tallies mean all that much versus other seasons but the overriding point is that they haven't won it because others have thrown it away, but rather because they've won so many bloody games. Great effort
Assuming they finish the job of course, though I think they already have enough points tbh

There's 3 things about Leicester that have really impressed me this season:
1. Their response to the wee blip they had around Christmas. It's typically the time where early season upstarts who don't 'belong' in the top 4 start falling away so for Leicester to react well to a drop in form and keep themselves up there took some doing.
2. Their win at the Etihad. I think that was the moment when I actually started taking them seriously.
3. The response to losing at Arsenal. The manner of the defeat should have been tough to take and been hard for Leicester to pick themselves up from whereas Arsenal should have been galvanised to win a stack of games and take control of the league. The exact opposite has happened, I think Arsenal's response was to win 1 out of the next 8 games which is the sort of thing you might have expected to happen to Leicester.
They're worthy winners. It would have been interesting to see how they'd have reacted to being run close by one of the big boys but at the same time Arsenal and City (and eventually Spurs) just haven't coped at all with Leicester just relentlessly winning games. They're on course to pick up 85 points so it's not as if they're just top because everyone's been crap, without checking figures I'd imagine that tally would mount a serious challenge/win the league in pretty much any season.

Since the move to 3 points for a win, the average top flight winner has had 85. Been a bit more than that in the premier league because of big team dominance.

PL went to 20 teams in 1995 IIRC, not sure if the First Division was always 22 before that or if they'd tinkered with the formula through the years.There are a few 22 team seasons in that though aren't there?

It's about as good a verdict as it could be, but lets remember McKenzie is still employed by the Sun and many of the people behind the cover-up are now long gone, so won't face the consequences of their disgraceful and symptomatic attack on innocents to cover up for an establishment that helped them break the miners.
