And took you into Europe the first time it was possible under his stewardship (and you won it too).Yeah, that started the ball rolling for sure, some say actually saved him his job, but winning the final secured his position (especially as we'd been poor in the league all year)
No fair enough and in that respect saying it was Man U's fault is unfair. Lazy wording etc.To be fair we didn't want to withdraw from the FA Cup, but neither UEFA nor the FA would back us in missing e world club championship or sending a weakened squad out there, and the club decided it was better to not play in the fa cup than send out what would be our youth team as we'd get slaughtered for that too
It says it all when the best performer was Quinten Fortune...No fair enough and in that respect saying it was Man U's fault is unfair. Lazy wording etc.
Boy did you guys suck in that world championship though
It was, if I'm not mistaken he made two? Against Vasco de GamaWas it Gary Neville that made a hilarious error in one of the games?
I'm not convinced this article really explains anything.
Tim Vickery was talking about Stones the other day. Suggested he might be one of "the most dangerous of creatures", a centre back who looks far better than he actually is. An interesting expression, I thought. He's been well and truly Martinezed
I feel like that's the template for Spurs dropping points. Almost exactly what they did against Arsenal, twice.Another right Uppercut prediction then.
Well any win, or any loss for Spuds does it for Leicester. Odds on it'll be over by May Day, Manure away for Leicester on Sunday and Chelsea away for Spuds on Monday. Only permutations that keep it live are a Leicester loss and a Spuds draw/win. Or a Leicester draw and a Spuds win.So it all boils down to 'can you beat Everton at home'?
The way we got back into it at the Emirates was basically the same way as well, crosses and corners. Agree about the desperation bit to an extent. Wonder if their style means they tire (think it happened against us at WHL). But they did get loads of late winners last season, so maybe it's a bit random.I feel like that's the template for Spurs dropping points. Almost exactly what they did against Arsenal, twice.
It's very noticeable that they don't have a desperation-attack mode, whereas Leicester actually have a very good one. They really looked like getting a winner right up to the end of their draw v west brom, but Spurs didn't at all.
Yeah there's always a random element, but I definitely think it's a drawback to the pressing game. It's happened to Liverpool a lot too this season, and the season they came close to winning it. Probably need to mix in some time-wasting *********ry to shorten the time the ball is in play. The way we got back into it at the Emirates was basically the same way as well, crosses and corners.
