Loved when Puma did those boots that were different colour on each foot. Half the Arsenal team used them at Leicester earlier in the season. Proper outrage.

Me and every Liverpool fan I know are just bewildered at this. Like, what in the **** is going on? SURELY they want him for back-up or something because he's just too limited. I haven't watched every keeper in the league that closely but I'd still safely say he's probably on par with the worst. I've never seen a keeper turn a defence into a shaking shambles the way he does; even with Bogdan we look more relaxed at the back.

He is like a person who had a natural talent for diving and decided to be a keeper but doesn't actually understand the game of football - when to come out, start attacks, etc.
I feel your pain bru. I had to endure 175 games of Manuel Almunia in goals.

Whenever Puma boots are mentioned I just think of that really odd advert involving Pires and Wiltord.

Funny you say this. Was watching Premier League years 2007/08 yesterday and 2009/10 today, and literally came into this thread to say I'd forgotten quite how bad Almunia was.

It's odd, because he was always rubbish, but yet there was a time where certain portions of the media/general public started to rate him quite highly (including on here iirc). I never really understood it, but there was defo a period where there was loads of talk about him playing for England (lol).

Anyone remember this?

So bad. Can't believe it was actually released. Shame the vid doesn't contain the original vid, iirc it had Henry playing the piano.

Honestly hate coloured boots, not so much the odd pair for the skilful players, but the fact you get full teams of division four players ****ing wearing them like they're Ronaldo.

Honestly almost makes you want to root for the ****ing refs and linesmen.
I may be out of shape, never been that good, and I think I know everything...but there's no way you ****s aren't going to see my step-overs with my orange boots on.

Black boots are in fashion now. I wear coloured boots because they're much cheaper. At this point Grecian's yelling at clouds that passed 20 years ago.

Meh, we all have things that bug us, this is one of mine. In lower Leagues it's only been the last few years everyone wears them.

Blimey Exeter have put out a dads Army side here, would be fascinating to see how many games (and Prem at that) our team has compared to Liverpools. Leaving out Tom is madness though, or maybe Tis just feels the same way about boots as I do. He'll get rubbished on Exeweb if we lose badly.

I got black boots a few years ago - got slaughtered for my choice. Now my teammates want to know how much they are. Trends are weird.

IF Tisdales utterly insane (and wrong) tactic of keeping it steady until half-time with this geriatric line-up, could somehow work, then it might be interesting to see Wheeler and Tom come on to cause havoc.

It almost certainly won't though and like Mcmanaman said we'll be three down.

Normally one of the bigger fans of Tisdale, but this starting line-up has got me genuinely angry.

I mean I actually think Oakley, Butterfield and Morrison aren't bad if one or two are playing, but to throw all three in when they've barely had any football against a young side is just obtuse.

I wear white boots as well. And my keeper gloves are mostly fluorescent pink. I put it down to me being a flashy arsehole.

Can't say that second leg did anything for us as a football club, would rather we'd gone for it from the start and lost 8-1. ho-hum money though I suppose.

One of the ATG football songs in fairness. Remember when Rodgers left him on the bench against us and he spent the first half warming up in front of the United end singing it at him constantly, and he got so wound up that he got sent off 30 seconds after coming on.

Tbh it was more of an indictment of the keeping options available at the time(possibly coupled with a period where he seemed mediocre as opposed to a complete liability).

edit: Would've been hilarious if he did capped though.
