I feel your pain bru. I had to endure 175 games of Manuel Almunia in goals.Me and every Liverpool fan I know are just bewildered at this. Like, what in the **** is going on? SURELY they want him for back-up or something because he's just too limited. I haven't watched every keeper in the league that closely but I'd still safely say he's probably on par with the worst. I've never seen a keeper turn a defence into a shaking shambles the way he does; even with Bogdan we look more relaxed at the back.
He is like a person who had a natural talent for diving and decided to be a keeper but doesn't actually understand the game of football - when to come out, start attacks, etc.
Whenever Puma boots are mentioned I just think of that really odd advert involving Pires and Wiltord.Loved when Puma did those boots that were different colour on each foot. Half the Arsenal team used them at Leicester earlier in the season. Proper outrage.
Funny you say this. Was watching Premier League years 2007/08 yesterday and 2009/10 today, and literally came into this thread to say I'd forgotten quite how bad Almunia was.I feel your pain bru. I had to endure 175 games of Manuel Almunia in goals.
I may be out of shape, never been that good, and I think I know everything...but there's no way you ****s aren't going to see my step-overs with my orange boots on.Honestly hate coloured boots, not so much the odd pair for the skilful players, but the fact you get full teams of division four players ****ing wearing them like they're Ronaldo.
Honestly almost makes you want to root for the ****ing refs and linesmen.
Meh, we all have things that bug us, this is one of mine. In lower Leagues it's only been the last few years everyone wears them.Black boots are in fashion now. I wear coloured boots because they're much cheaper. At this point Grecian's yelling at clouds that passed 20 years ago.
White boots for me.Black boots are in fashion now. I wear coloured boots because they're much cheaper. At this point Grecian's yelling at clouds that passed 20 years ago.
TBF it's the only relevant thing you Scouse ****s have done in a decade or so.,,,,,The Exeter fans were singing the Gerrard song **** off ****s.
Tbh it was more of an indictment of the keeping options available at the time(possibly coupled with a period where he seemed mediocre as opposed to a complete liability). It's odd, because he was always rubbish, but yet there was a time where certain portions of the media/general public started to rate him quite highly (including on here iirc). I never really understood it, but there was defo a period where there was loads of talk about him playing for England (lol).
