Would Stuart Broad make India's strongest test XI?

Crazy that Broad's stats are pretty much the same in that period. I wanted him dropped at one point during it, and lots of others probably wanted him dropped multiple times.

Just a general question on Broad. Has he ever bowled like this in away games? I am not sure what the numbers are like, but I remember a match winning spell in South Africa 09 and thought he was England's best bowler in Ashes 2013. But other than these two, how has he done outside? He is only 29 though so there is still a lot of cricket to come hopefully and the South Africa series this winter will be amazing. I can't believe England and South Africa don't play each other more often. The 2009 series was one of the best cricket I saw.

In recent times he had a really good series in the UAE IIRC and had a great spell somewhere in New Zealand I think.

For the most party though he's struggled a bit. Although Anderson's record outside of England is also a bit patchy (though was a huge reason for series wins in Australia and India).

He's only struggled in the SC really. Done a fair job everywhere else in the last few years. UAE was good, last Ashes was not bad either. Was poor in the Windies besides his customary one spell but he was coming back from injury so it was understandable.

He wasn't fit for the India tour unfort. Not many games in Asia outside the UAE.

His away record is as good as anyone who isn't Dale Steyn.

He seems to get injured a lot for crucial away series.

Won a Test in South Africa in 2009, tore his abdominal muscle in Adelaide in 2010, was immense in the UAE in 2012, injured in India, immense in Australia in 2013/14 then injured again in the West Indies.

how come India can't produce decent quickies yet Pakistan has produced a string of ATGs and they're from a similar part of the world? Are the pitches drastically different? I haven't seen cricket played in Pakistan for a long time obviously

The pitches in Pakistan are probably the flattest in the world
