Would Stuart Broad make India's strongest test XI?

I dunno... I can see an argument for Srinath or Zaheer?. I only used the word probably because I don't know how many quicks and ATG Indian team would even use/need... assuming they play Ganguly

No way is Zaheer getting in over Broad. For one thing Broad will give you twice as many games.

i feel like India would probably only play 2 pace bowlers in their ATG XI, plus Ganguly's mediums

Amar Singh , Kapil and Broad but you really need someone with sheer pace and fire to rattle and peg back the opposition sometimes in your arsenal. Otherwise it might get a bit too predictable. So Nissar gets the nod meaning amar Singh to sit out for broad.

It's often Anderson who is viewed as the archetype "his career average is inflated by a bad start" but it might actually be Broad who suffers more. Two thirds of his wickets at 25. Jimmy doesn't have a period that long, that good. Their averages are almost the same though.
Yeah but Broad could get another 100+ @ 25 and have an average under 28 which would give him the best record of any England pace bowler since Willis. Not a bad record to have.

I think a lot of us used to talk about Broads bad star when in comparison to other bowlers back in the day,Broad and Flintoffs starts made Jimmehs look brilliant and the same maybe happnning with Stokes.

but you were probably eating rusks and crapping your pants at the time.

Mind you so was I
