Nah, really like the ground. It's just the bit of it right at the middle that's gash. If they could get a quality pitch it would be a great ground.Horrible ground.

This match:Reminds me of the Hamilton pitch mid 2000's? vs Aus. There was a hole the size of a frizbee outside leg stump.
It was vs South Africa. I remember Cairnsy taking a wicket via that hole and looking pretty guilty about it.I think that was vs pakistan.
this is like an ICL all stars match, led by Chris Cairns himself

I could swear that NZ often puts together decent XIs, often featuring some of their first picked test playersIt is a some what worrying trend that home nations make warm up games a waste of time. Nz does it by not putting together decent XI's, alot of teams do it buy creating pitches that do not resemble the test ground.
It is getting quite farcical, and it correlates closely with the lack of performance from touring teams.
Yeah they've been pretty decent at it tbf, usually playing at decent grounds with XIs featuring Test guys battling it out for a spot.I could swear that NZ often puts together decent XIs, often featuring some of their first picked test players
