Is Willey the real thing? Looks like a good T20 find for England with his batting and bowling exploits and connects well with the current English team's motto of Go-aggressive.
He's certainly the real thing in limited-overs. For Tests you'd feel, if it wasn't swinging loads he'd be cannon-fodder with the ball.Is Willey the real thing? What an absolute ****ing disgrace this is. Harsh sentence when a precedent has already been set, ECB again are having a complete disregard for small counties. If you are actually going to punish people, at least warn them the first time and then take a couple of points away the next time it happens. Problem's nipped in the bud and doesn't happen again. So Leicestershire finally get a couple of wins in the championship and now they're getting 16 points deducted in the championship for multiple instances of dissent. Seems harsh although it won't have any consequence on promotion/relegation.
Hampshire got away with a suspended sentence earlier in the season. CDC Disciplinary Panel statement on Hampshire | England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) - The Official Website of the ECB
Absolutely. No way there'd have been an immediate points deduction if it had been the likes of Essex, Middlesex or Slurrey. What an absolute ****ing disgrace this is. They don't have floodlights. A tweet from a journo. How can there possibly be a problem with the light in an evening T20 game? Where are the floodlights? Game wouldn't have finished until about 8.15 in any case.
.
And yet Kent, who have lights at Canterbury, have their match at 2 o'clock this afternoon - bizarre. Perhaps Worcs decided that floodlights would spoil their lovely ground and the view of the cathedral, in which case don't play evening fixtures there. Could get away with it in June maybe, not in mid-August.They don't have floodlights. A tweet from a journo.

Small aside to tonight's D/L finish at Worcester - told by someone that Worcs asked ECB to put lights in coz of TV timing & they said no
Should never have gone ahead in the evening, play it in the morning or afternoon. Horrible way to go out for Worc.
