Think the young spinners need time generally (unless there is an exceptional case). England don't have a whole lot of it given the lack of spin resources currently but you only have to look at Adam Riley of Kent who hasn't played a first team game for ages after touring with the lions last winter after one good season.

Speaking of young english spinners, Matt Parkinson of Lancashire got props the other day from Kerry O'Keeffe for his bowling action after his 9 wicket haul in the u19s test match. Hope he gets a game for Lancashire before the end of the season.

Leicestershire 51 away from a second win of the season against Derby, they broke their duck at Chelmsford of course but how good it would be for them to get one at home.

Agathangelou gone as I write though, six wickets down now.

Leicester home, couldn't manage it before tea but only needed two balls after the interval. Raine and McKay finished the job.

Surrey want another 106 at Colchester, unfortunately they've just lost Roy who would have been the perfect choice for the job. Minimum of 15 overs but they should get at least 20.

I began to wonder if they were even going for it when I saw that Harinath had taken 127 balls to make 50, but it looks as if they've paced it pretty well.

Sussex downed by 20 runs at Lord's despite a last-ditch 68 from Brown. Four wickets for Harris there, giving him 58 for the season to date.

One of my friends and I were wondering what Adil Ali actually does when he made his debut (and most of the rest of the season), turns out he's actually a batsman. Proper innings of 41 from 196 balls today

Yeah the great thing about Willey is obviously he will fail now and then, but you know if he faces 25 or so balls, he will probably get a big score. No stodgy "batting through the innings" for him.

Harsh on Roy though, he has hardly got a chance at the top of the order.

I remember watching Yardy go for 20 in 4 overs in a World T20 Semi Final in St Lucia. Guess the novelty has worn off.

Yeah Willey is a big game player isn't he. Great fun to watch. Sussex will feel they left runs on the board though with two of top 3 getting fast half centuries and getting that ordinary a score. Willey in that form is electric though.
