Best attack, not second or thirdNeither Harris and Johnson nor Steyn and Philander are playing this game.
Mate, if you seriously rate Boult and Southee ahead of those other two, then you *are* asleep.Best attack, not second or third
Can't rely on Harris or Philander full stop. Bowlers aren't any good if they're hurt half the time.Mate, if you seriously rate Boult and Southee ahead of those other two, then you *are* asleep.
Tbf Australia haven't really done it away anywhere except South Africa. Sucked ass in England in the Ashes apart from Harris, and woeful in the SC.This is extraordinary really. Let the NZ blokes do it home and away and knock over South Africa & Aus away respectively before they can even be compared to the other new ball attacks.
Neither of the latter two had Harris/Johnson as our opening paring though.Tbf Australia haven't really done it away anywhere except South Africa. Sucked ass in England in the Ashes apart from Harris, and woeful in the SC.
Philander injury prone??????Can't rely on Harris or Philander full stop. Bowlers aren't any good if they're hurt half the time.
Please. Both teams just had a tour to the UAE, Boult and Southee showed up and won us a test to help draw a series, Johnson? Harris literally didn't show up. Southee has 29 wickets @ 26 in the SC, Boult 26 @ 32. Johnson's record is ****ing turd, as is Philanders. I'm sure if NZ were given more than two tests every five years against the likes of Australia and South Africa they might actually do some damage there. Can't do anything if you're not getting the games there. This is extraordinary really. Johnson was perfectly fine in the UAE FFS. Not his fault he didn't have support.Please. Pretty much my point. You can't rely on Harris playing every test, hence they lose points as a partnership.Johnson was perfectly fine in the UAE FFS. Not his fault he didn't have support.
Tbf Johnson didn't play in the away Ashes...
Well if Harris and johnson didn't even play together in overseas tours that often, then how on earth can you knock Boult and Southee for apparently not doing it away from home in comparison?Neither of the latter two had Harris/Johnson as our opening paring though.
No one doesn't rate them. The question is are they as good as the four aforementioned. For now (at least at Tests, which I assumed we were talking about else Johnson/Harris as a opening pairing would be redundant) I don't quite think so.People still don't rate southee and boult? This isn't 2013 guys.
