For this tournament I'd definitely rate boult over steyn.

Honestly do think steyn hasn't been amazing at ODIs for a good while now. Still good, but not amazing.

Tbf Australia haven't really done it away anywhere except South Africa. Sucked ass in England in the Ashes apart from Harris, and woeful in the SC.

Please. Both teams just had a tour to the UAE, Boult and Southee showed up and won us a test to help draw a series, Johnson? Harris literally didn't show up. Southee has 29 wickets @ 26 in the SC, Boult 26 @ 32. Johnson's record is ****ing turd, as is Philanders. I'm sure if NZ were given more than two tests every five years against the likes of Australia and South Africa they might actually do some damage there. Can't do anything if you're not getting the games there.

Pretty much my point. You can't rely on Harris playing every test, hence they lose points as a partnership.

Well if Harris and johnson didn't even play together in overseas tours that often, then how on earth can you knock Boult and Southee for apparently not doing it away from home in comparison?

As a partnership Harris Johnson were brilliant in SA. That's literally it.

No one doesn't rate them. The question is are they as good as the four aforementioned. For now (at least at Tests, which I assumed we were talking about else Johnson/Harris as a opening pairing would be redundant) I don't quite think so.

I think the NZers are the best NEW BALL attack (more swing) as thus opening attacks, but the other two duos (esp Aus as Philander can struggle) have better 2nd and 3rd spells.

. Anyway it will be redundant in 3years when the Aussies and Saffas have retired and Matt Henry is the best bowler in the world
