Are England bowling to a plan against Sarkar? This is an impressive knock but it is funny how many times an unknown player suddenly comes good against them. Because they rely on the laptop in my opinion.

NB I am not saying Sarkar was unknown to people who follow Bangladesh cricket and I know he has looked good in this tournament.
Nah Sarkar is a gun. Matter of time before he made a decent score, and England's attack on this deck is a pretty good combination for his batting, I reckon.

FMD Jordan is a jammy bastard. Does not deserve that pole.

Also FFS Sarkar convert a start!

Feels like a trend in all current day international cricketers tbh. Bowlers seems to lack the experience and 'bowling sense' where they can work out a batsman by just bowling at him. Too much pre-planning, following orders, executing skills, etc etc. Not many bowlers who pick out flaws and techniques and devise plans as they bowl. Not much thinking on their feet.

how hyped is sarkar in bangladesh? looks like he can be a decent cake.
Quite hyped. Dominate local T20 and domestic comps IIRC. He's apparently a decent bowler too but they haven't tossed him the ball yet.

The crazy bowling depth was always theoretical though -- Bresnan and Finn were always ok-but-not-world-beaters (Finn's period of ODI gun-ness notwithstanding), and the rest are in the similar Woakes/Jordan/James Harris bracket. Or now they're all really young, injury-prone guys who can't prove themselves yet (JOverton, Wood etc)
Nah bollocks, if we're talking 3-4 years ago (which I assuming Flem meant when talking about their depth), it wasn't theoretical at all. It was all too real. Hence why they destroyed Australia in the '10/11 Ashes & were the no 1 ranked ODI side in 2011/12.

I don't think it will be long before England steal Stirling and re-steal Joyce either.
Joyce to old I think and I don't think he enjoyed his time with England. Stirling a few years ago was quite bullish about sticking with Ireland, although not sure of his current stance.

I think Dockrell is a 50/50 shot to represent England at the next World Cup though.

Jordan a bit more relaxed now after the wicket. He looks weird with his run up and action compared to before still though.
