Heef just wanted to use the word hubris and Australian in the same sentence and gains 5 CW points for doing so.

Could you be any more sensitive? He's not calling you easy beats for god sake, he's saying that a three test match series at home has less pressure than a 5 match Ashes series in England, for a debutant no less.
Did you not see the beatup warning? I thought that made it clear that I was seeing it in the worst possible light rather than giving a sensible, disinterested opinion.

Gah. What awful and typical hubris from an Australian. Chris Rogers talking about retiring after the Ashes because:

"But also, I think, looking forward for the Australian side, there's got to be a time when they start to rebuild the side, and maybe with the Tests that are on next summer there might be a little bit less pressure and it might be the ideal time for a younger guy to come in and get some experience."

Blatantly casting New Zealand as easy-beats there. Good to see Australian cricket's view on New Zealand hasn't changed from the 1940s.

{Beatup Ends}

He probably doesn't want to face the world's best left arm swing bowler on a early season Gabba wicket

Depends on where England are at come the ashes but a home series against NZ could be more challenging than an ashes tour if England are anything like what we saw at the beginning of last summer

if anyone's in Hamilton (HAH) I'll be working this game. If you see a very tall and good looking guy selling drinks while surrounded by beautiful women its probably me.

Mate, surely you wouldn't charge a fellow CW'bian (along with 12 mates) for a drink would you? :ph34r:

Cool. Hoping we bat first today. Really want to see this side set a total, even if it is historically a chasing ground.

Hmmm, so the selectors attitude is that Henry's batting can make up for Elliot's absence? Probably not a good sign for the old pro's chances of being consistently selected in the World Cup.

It's a bit arrogant imo to play 5 specialist bowlers, when our batting is our weak point. Surely it would be more beneficial to play a Neesham/Brownlie/Munroe, a batting WC squad back up option? Odd.. At least we should have a tight bowling unit.

Big pressure on the top 5 to score.
