Howsie - I don't see how you think I'm being unfair when I point out Sodhi's "great performance" comes with him going at 5 an over and 73 runs per wicket... "You just can't give him credit" - because he's done nothing credible, basically.

Because I don't see anyone attempting to say Craig had a good match. I do see you attempting to say Sodhi did. And you're saying I have a strong bias? You're almost a comedian if it weren't so tragic that Sodhi continues to play for NZ.

I am? Again thanks for telling me how I think. (ftr I don't think Sodhi bowled well).

No my problem with you regarding Sodhi is you refuse to give him any credit. As I said, unless he bowls the perfect leg break that hit's the top of off stump the wicket in your mind was down to 'batsman error'. You don't hold Craig to that same standard though, nor would you refuse to accept Ramdin, Blackwood or Edwards as proper bats if Craig picked them up as wickets.

Good enough? don't see the point in Neesham playing tbh and maybe Rutherford can blaze a quick 30-40 before the spinners catch up with him? I believe Wagner's work ethic and fighting spirit often rubs off on Southee and Boult and lord knows if NZ are to get anything from this series those two are gonna have to stand up to be counted...as for the batting..i expect Kane to get better..same with Ross. Not sure about Brad though..also Latham started like a house on fire in the Caribbean but soon faded badly so he'll need to show more consistency here too.

I'd leave Rutherford out again.

The only change I think we should look at making is if we drop Craig/Sodhi for Wagner which is entirely pitch dependant.

I suppose we could consider dropping Neesham for Ronchi but I'd only toy with that idea in the 3rd if he really struggles again.

What a disappointing effort first up from the boys.

I agree with Rosco with going in with an unchanged team, no point bringing in Wagner he'll be cannon fodder on these wickets as well.
