2-0 Pakistan (NZ will win the toss and score big in the first innings in one of the three tests)

Wagner will end up with better figures than Siddle, undoubtedly... and also, yes, Wagner is probably a better style of bowler for penetrating in the sub-carribean... but if we're playing in Australia or the UK, Siddle would be my selection and wouldn't be that far behind Boult. Southee is light years ahead though.

I think Sarfraz will be a real thorn for NZ. Can see him coming in with Pakistan 200/5 after our bowlers have done a good job, and then getting them above 350 with ease.

I think we'll regret playing two spinners, if you play Wagner then you've got threatening spells for the first twenty overs with the three main pace bowlers and one of the all rounders, then you've got overs between the fiftieth and seventieth where we've generally managed to get the ball to reverse.

If you play two spinners, you've got maybe 14-16 opening overs, then about 10 to 12 between the fiftieth and eightieth where we've got wicket takers who don't rely on mistakes.

Yeah, both Wagner and Anderson made a point of talking up Sodhi in their post-day press interviews. Sodhi won't play as a sole spinner in these conditions yet.

Abid Ali's a veteran of a Quaid-e-Azam Trophy or six, yet he was pretty poor against Mark Craig before he perished there, which was interesting.

The oppo number eight is the most dangerous player in a series involving NZ though. Even now we have an attack Jason ****ing Holder still scored a test 50 at admittedly number seven.

Holder is a much better batsman than any of the Pakistan bowlers.
