I was about to say something very similar actually. Have conceded plenty of goals like that in my time.
My problem is a combination of lack of height and tiny hands, which means I have no confidence claiming a high ball, let alone under any degree of pressure. Consequently any coming-for-the-ball ends poorly, so I usually end up stuck in no-man's-land wondering if I should punch or not, or just get lobbed. I have been beaten by crosses in the Staff v 1st XI fixture at school for the last two years, and whilst we aim for an entertaining and high scoring draw in this one, being beaten like that by 5ft2 12-year-olds is not confidence-boosting.

I am now basically sticking to my line and trying to set myself to save any header. Managed the best save of my life on Wednesday night (half my team mates said "Gordon Banks" afterwards) but if I was even half-competent in the air I wouldn't have had to try stopping a point-blank header into the bottom corner...

I'm sure it won't surprise you to hear that height has never been an issue for me. Judgement though...terrible.

I hate Roy Keane, but he's such a great commentator, saying how much he thought the aggro was the best point iof the match, and made the game, and saying "that's not a headbutt", I bet both Stevie G (and I think Keane was hinting at that, saying that Gerrard would have done similar) and Dixon were saying the same things during the match, but when the camera is on it's all this mealy-mouthed "you can't do that with your head" "disapointing tackle" "ugly Scenes".

Nah **** it Keane is right it put life into a game that was stagnating.

This game reminds me a little of the Arsenal/Barca final. Can see Atletico holding on for most of the game and then conceding 2 late on.

Love how Clive and Andy are expressing surprise at the fact that Courtois looks good. Yeah, no ****, it's not like anyone else has been aware of this for several years now.
