Some scintillating shots by Anderson. Hope he doesn't get carried away and do something stupid.

"The concerns were mainly about Samuels’s quicker delivery and Shillingford’s doosra. The International Cricket Council (ICC) said, “Samuels’s and Shillingford’s bowling actions will now be scrutinised further under the ICC process relating to bowlers reported in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.”

Our management said he was only tested for the doosra. I repeat, Shillingford will continue playing, it's just a case of of he can bowl the doosra or not.
where does it say that they're only testing his doosra?

What, you can't take wickets with good basic off-spin?
You said nothing worth crying over. Losing him completely would certainly be worth crying over? Or did I misunderstand?

Gotta bring Deo on. Gabriel has been better but just not good enough.

Otis said it earlier this week. I can;t really be bothered to find the article, you'll just have to trust me!

Surely you can see there is nothing wrong with his offie anyway? They aren't going to have any issues with that.

Good sensible batting from Taylor, just seeing it out against Shillingford and getting runs at the other end.

"Nothing worth crying over" as in he's not generating any otherworldly turn or variations from his action so even if it were dodgy (I don't think it is) I'd be more concerned with ripping into our batsmens' capability against spin than his action. He's bowling well, but in NZ conditions most of his wickets are going to come from major batsman error such as McCullum and Rutherford's shots. He's not going to genuinely get batsmen out very often on these wickets.

How's the weather looking? So frustrating, this is exactly the time NZ should be upping the run rates, but we can't now because of Rutherford and McCullum's ****wittery.

WellAlbidarned is saying that NZ shouldn't be crying about his offspin. I agree in this test his offspinner has looked fine.
But I watched quite a bit of the India tests and even his offspinner looked dodgy there. You can't just change your action every time you get called.

I'm fairly certain that the testers require him to produce the same actions that he bowled in India.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
It's very dark and dramatic lighting due to the overcast clouds but I don't think it's serious rain weather. I can literally see some blue sky through some areas.

Big drops of rain starting to fall Smithy is saying.... and from the telly it's getting pretty dark over head.

Looks like we're going to have to try and go all out and to win by tea.
